Loved it until all my notes disappeared

I love this app, primarily for its no-frills simplicity. Use it more than MS Word now, and Im a writer.
But a couple of days ago all my notes disappeared from my iPad. They are still on my iPhone but are not syncing (I dont want the uncommanded deletion to sync). I wrote to the Support email, but if they wrote me back I missed it.
If the UpWord gurus will solve my problem, Ill give it back the 5 stars it otherwise deserves.
